A Lil' Bit About Me...
When my mom retells the story of her birthing time, she tells people I was her "6 year old doula", wiping her face with cold wash cloths and telling her "you can do it mama!". This experience cultivated within me a sense of trust in the birthing process and reverence for people who birth that I feel deep in my bones to this day. Witnessing and being a part of my mother's birthing time as a young child planted the seed that has blossomed into a love for educating, nurturing, and supporting new families as they are born.
It is a joy and an honor to walk besides you as an ally while you navigate the changes in your life, and tune into your unique strengths and style of birthing and parenting. I know that you are fully capable of making the decisions that are right for you and your baby.I do not have an agenda for your birth or parenting, but simply strive to provide you with clear and unbiased information so YOU, birther and/or partner, can show up to this time in your life with more confidence and trust in yourself.
I am joyfully committed to self-study and continuing education. I received my training as a birth doula under a Certified Professional Midwife and a second time through the University of Vermont Medical Center birth doula program. I cherish my experience serving birthing families and collaborating with nurses and midwives at the UVM medical center. I am overjoyed to be back in my home state of Massachusetts serving our Western Ma and surrounding communities.
